I have been looking at the movement of machines and the componets that make up its function this small example is a very good start to how cogs affect one another in sequence (click the picture to see them move)

Note that where the largest and smallest cog come into (apparent) contact, they're moving the wrong direction and should conflict -- try moving your mouse over that spot on my website.
